os x dev notes promise the system has exactly one address book. unfortunately, iSync only syncs the whole thing to phones and not any of the identified groups. there are many posts around asking for multiple address book support, mostly because people don't seem to want every person they've ever had details on stuffed into their phone.
clearly this is a mac-only thing, but I suspect some work around linking the series60-remote code into the os x pim databases would meet a big need. my current guess is that apple is not responding to the various requests because they want people to use mobileme.
